- 1 medium head cabbage About 1.5 lbs, thinly sliced.
- 1 large carrot Julienned.
- 1 large red bell pepper Thinly sliced.
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic Minced.
- 1 inch piece ginger Grated.
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust to taste.
- 4 stalks green onions Chopped.

- cooked rice or noodles Optional for serving.
Prepare all the ingredients by washing and slicing the vegetables as indicated above.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the julienned carrot and sliced red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.
Add the sliced cabbage to the pan and continue to stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender yet still crisp.
Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and sprinkle in the red pepper flakes. Mix well to ensure the vegetables are evenly coated.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the chopped green onions just before removing from heat.
Serve hot on its own or over cooked rice or noodles if desired.
Feel free to add or substitute other vegetables such as mushrooms, snap peas, or broccoli for added variety.
Adjust the spice level according to personal preference by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
