Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Brush the brown sugar glaze generously over the top of each salmon fillet.
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque in the center.
Once done, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
For added flavor, consider marinating the salmon in the glaze for about 30 minutes before cooking.
This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
Adjust the amount of brown sugar if you prefer a less sweet glaze.
