  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon about 6 ounces each
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Brush the brown sugar glaze generously over the top of each salmon fillet.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque in the center.
  • Once done, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
  • For added flavor, consider marinating the salmon in the glaze for about 30 minutes before cooking.
  • This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
  • Adjust the amount of brown sugar if you prefer a less sweet glaze.
