  • 11 to 12 ounces butterscotch chips
  • 12 ounces chow mein noodles crispy kind
  • 48 candy eggs for colorful, crunchy center

  • Start by combining your milk chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in a big microwave safe bowl. Size matters here so they can melt without spilling.
  • Microwave in 30 second bursts, give it a good stir each time till everything's smooth and melted.
  • Pour your chow mein noodles into the melted chocolate mixture. Stir gently but make sure every noodle gets coated.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spoon out little mounds from the mixture. These will be your nests.
  • Press 3 to 4 candy eggs on top of each spoonful while the chocolate is still warm and sticky.
  • Place the sheet into the fridge for at least 30 minutes. This lets the nests set and get nice and firm.
