- 8 oz tequila
- 4 oz orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
- 4 oz pumpkin puree
- 4 oz fresh lime juice
- 2 oz simple syrup adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- optional salt or sugar for rimming glasses
- optional pumpkin pie spice for garnish
If desired, rim your glasses with salt or sugar. To do this, run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass. Then, dip the rim into a small plate filled with salt or sugar.
In a mixing glass, combine the tequila, orange liqueur, pumpkin puree, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
Fill your cocktail shaker with ice. Pour the mixture from the mixing glass into the shaker.
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses filled with ice.
