golden Crisco shortening

Instructions
Preheat oven to 300°F.
In large bowl, cream golden Crisco shortening and white sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract. Beat until well mixed.
Gradually mix in flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
Stir in raisins, candied cherries, candied pineapple, and chopped Brazil nuts.
Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto parchment-lined or greased baking sheet spaced 2 inches apart.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
Let cool 5 minutes on sheet before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough to reduce spread. Cookies freeze well for up to 3 months.
