Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet to hold your masterpieces
  • 1 Small bowl to mix honey and mustard

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 6 large croissants soft and fresh
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese for that gooey melt
  • 12 slices deli ham thin and tasty
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted to brush inside
  • 1 tablespoon honey a sweet little kick
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard adds a bit of zing
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds for nuttiness on top

Instructions

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 375°F, getting it nice and hot so the croissants bake up golden.
  • Slice each croissant in half down the middle, careful not to squish 'em all flat.
  • Brush the melted butter inside each croissant half. This helps them crisp up real nice.
  • Layer two slices of Swiss cheese and two slices of ham inside every croissant. Don’t be shy, pile it on.
  • Mix the honey and Dijon mustard together in your small bowl. Then drizzle this sweet tangy combo all over the ham and cheese. It adds that extra yum.
  • Sprinkle poppy seeds over the tops of your filled croissants. It gives a nice crunch and a bit of nuttiness.
  • Plop them on a baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. You want cheese melted and croissants golden brown. Keep an eye on that float valve if you decide to use a pressure cooker for warming instead—the sealing ring will help keep everything moist.

Notes

Serve warm with a side of fresh fruit for a delightful breakfast or brunch treat.
