Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium-sized apples Such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith.
  • ½ cup feta cheese Crumbled.
  • cup dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts Optional.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter For greasing the baking dish.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Wash and dry the apples. Carefully core each apple using a paring knife, making sure to leave the bottom intact.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, dried cranberries, walnuts (if using), honey, and cinnamon. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  • Spoon the mixture into the cored apples, filling them generously.
  • Grease the bottom of the baking dish with butter. Place the stuffed apples upright in the dish.
  • Pour a small amount of water into the bottom of the baking dish to help keep the apples moist while baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the apples are tender but not mushy.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, you can serve the baked apples with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey to the filling based on your preference.
These baked apples can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven before serving for best results.
