  • ¼ cup granulated sugar for sweetness
  • 1 large egg mixed with vanilla extract

  • ½ cup no-sugar added applesauce for juiciness
  • 1 ½ cups Honeycrisp apples peeled and finely diced

  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Melt butter, stir in sugar, then whisk in egg and vanilla.
  • Mix in applesauce and blend well.

  • Spoon batter onto baking sheet, give space to puff up.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, flip halfway for even color.
  • Let cool briefly before serving.
