Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium apples About 2 cups diced.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar Packed.
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter Melted.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a bowl, peel, core, and dice the apples into small cubes. Drizzle with lemon juice and mix to coat. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
  • Spread the diced apples evenly in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before cutting into bites.
  • Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different apple varieties for varying flavors and sweetness levels.
You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results before serving.
For a nutty flavor, consider adding chopped walnuts or pecans to the topping mixture.
