Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
  • ½ cup sliced jalapeños (pickled or fresh)
  • ½ cup sour cream (for serving)
  • ½ cup guacamole (for serving)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish) Optional
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning (optional) Optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the black beans, diced tomatoes, and taco seasoning, if using. Mix well to combine.
  • Lay half of the tortilla chips evenly in the bottom of the air fryer basket.
  • Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the chips, followed by half of the black bean mixture and half of the jalapeños.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining tortilla chips, cheese, black bean mixture, and jalapeños.
  • Set the air fryer to cook at 350°F (175°C) for 6-8 minutes, checking for doneness. The cheese should be melted and bubbly, and the chips should be crispy.
  • Once done, carefully remove the nachos from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving plate.
  • Top with sour cream, guacamole, and chopped cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Customize your nachos with additional toppings, such as diced onions, olives, or cooked ground meat.
For extra flavor, consider adding a drizzle of hot sauce or sour cream on top.
Make sure to check nachos frequently while they’re cooking to avoid burning.
