1 air fryer
1 mixing bowl
1 rolling pin
1 baking sheet
1 pastry brush
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough
- 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- ½ cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- as needed cooking spray
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix the diced apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined. Set aside.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate the triangles. Press seams together to create solid rectangles.
Place about 1 tablespoon of the apple mixture in the center of each rectangle.
Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal tightly. You can also shape them into balls if desired.
Lightly brush each bomb with melted butter and then spray with cooking spray.
In a shallow dish, mix the granulated sugar and remaining cinnamon. Roll each bomb in the sugar mixture until well coated.
Place the bombs in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if necessary) and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Carefully remove from the air fryer and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
You can add more spices like nutmeg or allspice to the apple filling for extra flavor.
For a chocolate twist, you can drizzle melted chocolate over the bombs once cooled.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an indulgent treat.
