Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 rolling pin
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 pastry brush

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough
  • 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • as needed cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the diced apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined. Set aside.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate the triangles. Press seams together to create solid rectangles.
  • Place about 1 tablespoon of the apple mixture in the center of each rectangle.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal tightly. You can also shape them into balls if desired.
  • Lightly brush each bomb with melted butter and then spray with cooking spray.
  • In a shallow dish, mix the granulated sugar and remaining cinnamon. Roll each bomb in the sugar mixture until well coated.
  • Place the bombs in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if necessary) and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Carefully remove from the air fryer and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can add more spices like nutmeg or allspice to the apple filling for extra flavor.
For a chocolate twist, you can drizzle melted chocolate over the bombs once cooled.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an indulgent treat.
