Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs Approximately 1.5 lbs total.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Begin by patting the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This will help them become crispy in the air fryer.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a seasoning paste.
  • Rub the seasoning paste all over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side up. Make sure they are not overcrowded; cook in batches if necessary.
  • Cook the chicken thighs for 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C), flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
  • Once cooked, remove the thighs from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, marinate the chicken in the seasoning mixture for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator before cooking.
